  • With DATA NIM module

Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 8000 Edge Platforms

Achieved higher throughput and bandwidth. And relief from network link choke and higher CPU utilization. All of the features, such as the ability to use voice and security routers in Network Advantage software, are derived from a simple software and licensing architecture.

Pros

  • We can use it as a voice and security router on the same hardware in a simple licensing architecture.
  • 2 modes (Auto mode and CTRL mode) are the best option for customers.
  • Multiple features provided and hardware improved.

Cons

  • In 8200 routers, a minimum of two NIM modules are required.
  • flexibility in licensing.
  • The common IOS-XE is the best feature.
  • The more ports required in 8200 routers, the better.
  • Simple Licensing and software
  • Cisco 1000 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISR 1000)
More Features provided and better hardware.
