The administration and segmentation of our voice and data VLANS is very important for us, along with the nodes they host. They are also extremely reliable. Our datacenter has gone through several remodels in the last year, and the catalyst switches have come through everything with no problems at all.

So far we've only used virtualization but we are on the way to implement mass scale time saving automation through Ansible.
The usage of GUI has enabled us to set up technicians that can manage and customize the switches without going all the way through the CLI.
Manageability, sustainability, and performance are Cisco's main advantages against their competitors, there was no way of just keeping up with brands like 3Com when you have the Catalyst series.
