Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst Switches
We use them in the access layer for connecting to the network.
Pros
- It provides network connectivity to end user or end devices.
Cons
- Maybe the upgrade process, software upgrade. Sometimes if you upgrade the stack it's going to be a bit tricky. You sometimes don't know how the product is going to behave or misbehave maybe. So that's a point where I felt were some issues in the past for sure. Right now I can't really say because it's a long time ago when I did the last upgrade.
- I'd say a lot of positive impacts. The products are good and they are, I don't know how to say they are reliable.
- Webex Meetings
Well, personally, I don't implement hybrid places like we have a co-op team which does the WebEx part or the co-op part I'd say and myself more like Catalyst and Access implementations.
It's working good.
Juniper Network. I am used to the Cisco syntax, so for me it's like a no brainer. I will implement Cisco if it's possible.
