Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst Switches

In our organization, We are using Cisco Catalyst Switches in our PDC (primary domain controller) and DRC (distributed forwarding card) for access part and we are using these in our branches

Pros

  • connecting to the end users
  • dot1x
  • debug

Cons

  • we are connecting users and other endpoint on these
  • we are using these Cisco Catalyst Switches in our branches for many years and there are only few issues
  • Cisco Aironet 4800 Access Points (discontinued)

Cisco Nexus Series Switches, Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISR 4000), Cisco 1000 Series Aggregation Services Routers (ASR 1000)
If asked, I think I am likely to recommend Cisco Catalyst Switches to a colleague because, in my experience, these are suited for branches and access layer , not ok for data center and scada (supervisory control and data acquisition)
