Overall Satisfaction with Cisco DNA Analytics and Assurance

We were one of the first adopters of DNAC. We use the platform to manage our floor switch environment. We use the product to provide a health status of our infrastructure, OS levels and switch upgrades where we have DNAC push the configs. We use Assurance to troubleshoot problems and forecast on potential issues.
  • Push configs to new floors or during switch upgrades
  • Assurance to troubleshoot issues
  • Inventory
  • Keep track of infrastructure OS levels
  • Early on the product was unstable. Since fixed.
  • The need to contact the BU when TAC cannot solve the issue. This happens all the time.
  • Upgrades to the product are not smooth and take a great deal of time.
  • Assurance
  • Inventory
  • OS/config pushes during upgrades or switch replacements
  • The product has had a positive impact and ROI for our small team
  • It has negatively impacted our OPEX due to the licensing fees
We moved away from Solarwinds during the breach. Haven't touched them with a 10 foot pole since. We looked at Splunk but decided to stick with a Cisco product since we are a Cisco shop.

Do you think Cisco DNA Analytics and Assurance delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Cisco DNA Analytics and Assurance's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco DNA Analytics and Assurance live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco DNA Analytics and Assurance go as expected?

No

Would you buy Cisco DNA Analytics and Assurance again?

Yes

The platform is well suited for small IT departments like ours. DNAC keeps track of things which frees up resources to do other things. It simplifies switch OS upgrades by pushing out the OS and config. There was a huge learning curse when we first implemented. So new users should expect that. And there still isn't any formal training on the product.
