A pretty good phone
Overall Satisfaction with Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series
Cisco IP Phone 8800 is used for telecommunication purposes in the company, runs perfectly on Windows 10. Some services are controlled through a console which reliefs a bit the old ways to manage telecommunication devices or networks. Signal is clear and connections are fast enough for large enterprises. Set up is also pretty simple for end users once the backend work is completed.
Pros
- Flawless connection
- Simple mgmt.
- Simple set up
Cons
- Integration with other services
- Refresh options
- Some intrusive features
- Outages could arise from improper configuration in the central mgmt. console - Few small impacts
- Outages take a lot of effort time
- System refresh options cause delays in joining meetings/calls
Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series is, in my opinion, way more user-friendly than Avaya options. They probably share a lot of features but it feels like the overall layout is difficult to navigate through. Not sure how well an option is better suited than the other for small or large scale implementations though they work fine for most large-scale companies.
