Overall Satisfaction with Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series

The Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series is being utilized across the organization. Since we have numerous offices within the state and across the nation, the Cisco phone allows employees reliable and ready access to each other 24/7. Cisco also provides for conference and video calling which further keeps employees and supervisors connected.

Pros

  • 100% reliable internet and phone access 24/7.
  • Video conferencing keeps co-workers and supervisors connected across the miles which improves morale when being available in person is not an option.
  • IP connectivity also ensures all networking equipment maintains speedy access and immediate email communications across the organization.

Cons

  • Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series has been extremely productive for our organization and there are no concerns at this time.
  • Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series reduces costs to local providers, and allows for one point of IP management by our IT department.
  • Unexpectedly, Cisco has also improved morale; allowing for employees to see and communicate with each other daily, regardless of location.
Our organization has utilized various Cisco phone systems for many years, and we upgrade to the next series when the ROI is apparent. As our organization grew in size and reach, the Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series was a necessary and invaluable expense as it extended our capacity to supervise, hire, and manage from great distances and throughout every area of the organization.
I do not recall receiving much support on features and capability from Cisco when 8800 Series was implemented in our organization. It's difficult to know if that was because a request for such was not made, or only offered to a few. It would still have been helpful to have a helpline included in the phone that would allow for calls to Cisco techs for additional guidance.

Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series is best suited for large organizations (1K+ employees) with locations across the nation. When frequent travel is not always available and supervision of satellite offices must be done remotely, Cisco keeps the organization connected. It also allows for improved IP connectivity in remote areas where local providers are less reliable.
