Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series

Overall Satisfaction with Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series

We all used 8851 in office and we used to sell these to the clients as well who were ok to use CUCM based solution.
Phones were being used for daily calls for service desks, or for senior engineers or sales people as well.
Video compatible model one was not in use though.

Pros

  • Ease of use
  • Portability
  • Call quality
  • User settings

Cons

  • Screen size
  • Wireless headset
  • Flexibility
  • Affordability
  • UI
Reliability ofcourse. At the company for the phone solutions, we used to pitch either Cisco or LG based on the budget and 8800 was the recommended option because of the trust with the brand, the model and the longetivity as well. And since we were using it inhouse, it was easy to help them understand why we were recommending it.
I think when we were making and recieving calls, there was no doubt at the back of the head that this is not going to work or i may sounds different. It comes with a lot of reliability associated with it.Video we didn't used much apart from testing so can't say much. But we never had issues with Audio as long as it's properly configured.

Do you think Cisco IP Phones delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco IP Phones's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco IP Phones live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco IP Phones go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco IP Phones again?

Yes

It's a go to product and like a "toyota" for phones.
Easy to use and setup, plenty of options to play around with. Customisable and anyone can use.
I have seen this model across Coles supermarket and Banks where people use them on daily basis.
Anything like an industrial site is not recommended ofcourse because it's not a "rugged" phone.
