Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MS
This particular product, it's used on our access layer in our network. That provides end user computing, network access. Basically that will be for all the airports across Australia, all the endpoints would connect to those particular switches.
Pros
- I think when it comes to the Meraki products, it's just the ease of use and ease of troubleshooting because it's all cloud-based, easy to access from anywhere I can literally get on now and troubleshoot. So I think it's just the ease of use, which is great.
Cons
- I think that the biggest one for us, because we're currently doing a refresh and it's just the amount of time that it takes for the product to come online and do its updates and just the lack of not knowing what's going on whilst it's doing that. So I think there's definitely some improvements in just the initial onboarding.
- I think it's definitely had a positive impact just in terms of the ease of deployment. Once again, it saves us time, so it saves us money.
I think it's just the cost savings, the ease of deployment, and just from a management perspective. I think all those areas of the business have seen benefits, so less people needed to maintain infrastructure. Also it gives us the ability to be proactive rather than the users coming to us with issues, we can identify them before.
