Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MS Switches

We utilize Meraki MS switches throughout our entire network, connecting multiple buildings with both fiber and ethernet. It addresses the need to manage our switches from the cloud, making changes and seeing immediate results.
  • Cloud based management
  • Managing all switches under one dashboard
  • Easy to configure and make changes with little to no downtime
  • Some firmware issues never seem to be addressed
  • Licensing costs
  • No ability to view any logs
  • Little to no network downtime
  • Firmware upgrades happen automatically during non-business hours so no need for outage window
  • Minimal oversight needed on a daily basis as we get alerts for any major issues
Meraki is much easier to manage and train other IT admins on. The configuration is extremely straightforward so there is minimal time to replace any equipment and it automatically will download configurations to match outgoing equipment.
It is well suited for organizations that have a large inventory of equipment that needs to be managed from a single dashboard. It would work very well for organizations that have multiple locations and want to be able to manage from anywhere.
