Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MS Switches

The MS Switches are great for us as we can manage everything under one dashboard. Port changes, v-lans, firmware upgrades are all very intuitive and easy to configure. We have been running them for a few years, none have failed and the support is good when I have a question.
  • V-Lans are easy to separate traffic.
  • Management under one dashboard makes our lives extremely easy.
  • Give us the flexibility to setup ACLs, routing, and DHCP quite easily.
  • Port tracing doesn't always work correctly and can take a few refreshes to show the correct topology when trying to find a user's port.
  • We had a couple bad ports when new but the hardware was replaced right away.
  • Really no big problem to complain about I'm happy to say.
  • Lower cost of staff as they are easy to set up and maintain and you don't need top tier engineers to support them.
  • Investing in all Meraki switches has given us a far better overview of our network without having to purchase 3rd party tools to view what's happening.
  • No downtime in three years due to defective devices. Other than fast firmware upgrades, the switches just run.
We are a full-stack Meraki shop because the equipment is affordable, it is dependable, and the support is good. We have a great overview of what's happening on our network, making changes is easy, and it doesn't take a doctorate degree to configure them. We replaced HP and aging 3com switches and could not be happier with the change.
Great for small to medium business, especially when you don't have the budget for top-line engineers. They are pretty easy to set up for someone familiar with networking without having to do everything via command line. We have about 250 users and they work quite well in our various sites.
