Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MV

Tracking the number of users inside a building is often a use case for Health and Safety. Wireless analytics has not achieved a sufficiently accurate result and as such, we implemented Meraki MV cameras to count users entering buildings.
  • Object recognition
  • Object movement
  • Spaces integration
  • Better obfuscation of objects
  • More accurate user counts within buildings
  • Better estimate of users in buildings without cameras
  • Unfortunately, more cameras visible to users
The implementation was essentially plug and play. After installation, the cameras were available in the Cisco Meraki MV system. It was then very simple to integrate into the Spaces system and gain the insights desired for the project.
The Spaces integration gives us the ability to associate the cameras with a building and therefore, count users entering the building.
Once configured the availability of the dashboard is good and configurable based on user role. However, it wasn't painless configuring the other users as other systems can be.
While the Ubiquiti cameras perform similar functions, their systems do not have the same integration possibilities as the Cisco Meraki MV cameras. They were more flexible generally.

Do you think Cisco Meraki MV delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco Meraki MV's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Meraki MV live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Meraki MV go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Meraki MV again?

Yes

The object detection algorithm works excellently for the detection of people and things for the purpose of tracking their movement. Integrating these trigger points to count users works very well. These cameras would be overkill for simple "security monitoring."
