Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Room Series

We are a Cisco disti that sells mainly Collaboration products, we have been selling Cisco products since 2010 after the Tandberg acquisition. Typically supply chain was a big issue with the products but we have seen less stressed issues with that since COVID. The Cisco Room Series solves remote work issues and constraints as we have a dispersed workforce.

Pros

  • It provides great noise cancellation allowing for our users to focus directly on the video call and not to be distracted by outside noises.
  • It allows for the ability to provide a cinematic meeting experience with multiple camera angles always providing the best meeting experience.
  • It also doubles as an IOT device that will allow for analytical data for Cisco Room Series such as humidity, temperature etc...

Cons

  • I'd like to see more API access for the Room series.
  • I'd like to see a more streamlined and simplified setup process for MTR.
  • I'd like to see more support for 3rd party AV companies and the ability to have that native.
  • It allows for our executives to have a semi-immersive experience with the Cisco Room Series bar in our conference room.
  • We have had an increase in room usage since the Cisco Room Series bar was installed, as it provides a great user experience.
  • There isn't a negative impact on the business with the Cisco Room Series bars.
Cisco has and is the only vendor currently doing native MTR integration within the video collaboration space. No other vendor stacks up against Cisco as you are getting all of the value that Cisco provides such as noise cancellation, cinematic meetings, cross view, intelligent framing. The other competitors don't stack up to Cisco from a reliability standpoint and a compatibility standpoint.
Right out of the box it's a very easy to use product. Taking less than 5 minutes to unbox, get setup and get through control hub and connected. It is up and running providing a seamless experience for our internal staff and a our C level employees. The touchpad make it very easy to use and dial and get into meetings

We had a conference room with a Radvision board that needed to be replaced. Our HQ is not fully Cisco but rather a mish mash of different products such as Rally bars, Poly, Radviison and Cisco. Putting Cisco into the conference room allowed us to have a single pane of glass for our needs.
