Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Routers
- Cisco ISR 1000 Series
- Cisco ISR 4000 Series
We manage Cisco Routers by our IT Department. We interconnect our branch offices with Cisco Routers, so we use them across the whole organization/Company. We establish VPN tunnels with Cisco Routers. Most likely they we can only configure them via CLI because the webGUI is less powerful. People need to be trained to configure via CLI, that can be a business problem sometimes because we do not have IT people in all of our branch offices.

- Cisco Routers are not cheap
- Cisco Routers run very stable
Yes, it was! We only use Cisco products in our environment, so we have Access Points, Switches, Routers, Firewall and also Datacenter switches. It is better to manage devices from one vendor. And also Cisco Routers can be integrated in a network with other Cisco products even better because of the similar configuration background.
We use Cisco Routers in our branch office to get internet access, remote VPN access and also to protect the internal network. We use Cisco Routers in combination with Cisco Umbrella to secure our network and protect us against threats. An even greater benefit is the setup of SD-WAN with Cisco Routers.
Cisco Routers have so many features included, so you can configure so many things like Security ACLs, VPN, or also Routing features or voice features or the great benefit of SD-WAN. Other vendors I worked with have limitations, especially when it comes to SD-WAN. Cisco Routers are a great benefit when it comes in combination with Cisco Umbrella to access SaaS or other Web applications
