Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Routers
- Cisco ISR 1000 Series
- Cisco ISR 4000 Series
- Cisco ASR 1000 Series
- Cisco ASR 9000 Series
Typically used across campus/offsite/small practices, as well as for VPNs.
Pros
- VPN
- Routing
- Security
- QOS Management.
Cons
- Simplify Configurations and User interface.
- They're very expensive - should be more competitive.
- Provides efficiency through Network Reliability and Scalability, providing good uptime, advanced routing, and QOS. Reducing downtime prevents costs across our business.
- Cisco routers deliver a superior customer experience, ensuring application performance across our businesses.
- The negative impacts have been costly. Licensing fees and costs of equipment prevent businesses like ours from expanding or improving other aspects of our business operations. The end of life of the products comes quickly, and the cost to upgrade/renew puts a damper on our ability to purchase other equipment needed for patient support in healthcare.

We did not utilize the threat protection at this time.
From an Engineer's standpoint, routers route, and it's a fairly simple process. I don't think there is a clear-cut answer to this. Some do it better than others.
