Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Secure Firewall
We use Cisco Secure Firewall to secure our edge and to allow users/services in or out as required.
Pros
- Packet captures
- Management of firewall in one
- Checks on rules deployment
Cons
- The amount of bugs
- Testing of bugs before release
- Announcing of bugs on the releases rather than letting cisco employees know for when someone calls up
- Amount of time to deploy new rules
- Amount of downtime for the business due to bugs
- Slow turn around time for Cisco Secure Firewall rules for projects as having to wait 10 minutes between each deployment.
- Apart from bugs from fresh upgrades, it maintains uptime and there productivity of the business well.
Security of our business has never been better, we have more overview of what is going on. Working day to day it works great
Vpn capabilities allow us to get our people working even when they aren't in the office. Going back to covid a prime example of this. It allowed us to maintain a full complement of staff in all areas of the business but still keep us business safe. Log management allows us to get more info, to better identify what is happening and why, then help us decide what to do next.
