Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Spaces
In healthcare and other environments, Cisco Spaces can be very useful to locate devices, check availability of a meeting room and track the amount of people in a room. Asset tracking is mandatory with today’s medical equipment since they’re being moved and used by different people. But also in other type of use cases.
Pros
- Asset tracking
- Visuals
- User friendly
Cons
- More options in essentials
- Always welcome to add more
- Nothing else to mention!
- Visibility
- Securing assets
- Collecting metrics
All of the features give a very good insight in a specific environment. We can track assets and see where they are but also analyse behavior of employees or visitors to use these results and further develop your environment. It is all very user friendly and very visual, so recommended!
The wireles Lan controller and Cisco access points are very complementary with Cisco Spaces. Access points are able to provide all info and metrics to Cisco Spaces, that will visualize everything. Important to make sure your access point placement is optimal to use location or asset tracking. We’ve used it a lot.
When we use Cisco spaces together with the wireless lan controller and access points for asset and location tracking, we can see which parts of the floor are being used a lot or how people move in to a building. If they enter the building, do they go to the reception, or find their own way straight away?
In Cisco Spaces, asset management is very valuable. With the Cisco access points and Cisco wireless controller you can track assets locations and see if one of the assets leaves a department or building. Also when an asset is being lost, it’s easy to track it, which is very useful.
The Cisco 9100 series access point, wireless lan controller, and Cisco Spaces are the right combination to provide metrics and information to Cisco Spaces that then will be visualized. The 9100 access points have the right sensors and specs to work together with Cisco Spaces, so I really recommend this.
