Cisco UCS Series Review
Overall Satisfaction with Cisco UCS Series
We have a series of virtual servers. We are running an ESXI VMware system on the products right now.
Pros
- What it does is let me build an ESXI server. It's really easy to build one. The management system allows me to connect to it and get it set up really easily. It puts it into an IP pool plus it allows it to be more centralized in what I'm doing.
Cons
- I think it is the actual alerting that I have. It could be improved by giving me a little better setup of what actually is going on when I do have an issue and then tac. They're a little slow at helping us a lot of times.
- Positive, like I said before, the centralized, the resource use allowing us to do multiple. We have like 150 virtual servers running on the environment, so that's the positive. Negative, I don't really have any just cost.
What I like about it is I can connect them to together in the same management setup for maintenance and different stuff I need to do with them.
It allows us to have multiple servers as virtual servers in our ESXI Vmware environment in one spot. It also allows us to use our grid environment for our different classes. AutoCAD and different high, high use classes to access the Nvidia card that's in the three standalone UCS computer.
