Cisco UCS X-Series is the latest in the line of Cisco UCS Bladed Servers solutions and has been the perfect solution for solving computing requirements for customers I have supported, it is both cutting edge and efficient in its construction, offering the latest technologies for computing, storage and networking to form a complete solution to any requirement.
- Consolidation of computing resources
- Reduction in power consumption through consolidation
- Full integration in the Cisco Internight solution
- Very Positive impact in terms of ROI for consolidation
- Good ROI for condensed computing performance.
There are good use cases for both technologies, and each will have its place, UCS X-Series is good when looking at additional or external Storage solutions, and scalable computing performance in a compact form factor. Cisco HX is good for incorporating Compute and Storage in single ease of use form factor.
Cisco UCS x-Series has made this very easy by consolidating multiple legacy computing solutions into a compact form factor offering greater performance and expandability, which reduces footprint and power consumption which reduces monthly costs. The ease of use and integration of Cisco Intersight has made the solution easier to manage and maintain, reducing time to manage and costs of staffing.
By offering a compelling solution for moving to a hybrid cloud solution and looking at cloud-native apps that require container-based computing solutions.
With Cisco UCS X-Series, the scalable options have enabled our business and others like ours to grow with the ever-changing landscape of the business world meeting our needs and exceeding them on multiple fronts.
