Comparing to previous models of the UCS series of Cisco like the B and C series, Cisco UCS X-Series is the combination of the two, having the best of both devices. And having the intersight, that can managed the whole server in a cloud environment. Modularity from b series and storage from c series is what best the Cisco UCS X-Series have. I also used Cisco Hyperflex and UCS X is more like a more compact hardware for a hyperconverged infrastructure.
With the simplicity of Cisco UCS X-Series, it brings on the organization the the ease when it comes to deployment and management of the infrastructure. Having lesser time on finding the configuration to scale and manage servers and application the organization have and which saves cost on the operational expenses of the organization. also, UCS X being one of the latest technology offering today, supports the lates CPUs that give more power and performance which needed with the latest applications and softwares that is used in the industry.
Cisco intersight is the cloud management solution of cisco for their data center portfolio. Having Cisco UCS X-Series managed by the cisco intersight simplifies the tasks on deployment and operations in the data center. Enables integration to platforms like ansible and terraform for automation and having all your managed servers across your multiple sites in a single dashboard. with this cloud management platform, it enables the customers to access and managed all Cisco Servers accross each data center globally.
Cisco UCS X-Series uses the latest data center technology like cpus, ssd, memory, and gpu to provide a high speed processing that modern applications needs. Cisco UCS X-Series modularity helps us to scale out easily by just adding nodes on the UCS x chassis. And with the Cisco intersight we can create templates to configure our servers. Cisco UCS X supports vertical and horizontal scaling depending on what the organization needs and support automation and use if templates to ease the task needed for expanding the infrastructure.
