Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Webex Room Series

We use different devices from Cisco Webex Room Series (Room kit mini, Room kit, Room Kit Pro) for our conference rooms across our different offices. They are mainly [used] by our admin and sales teams, but our technical staff [uses] it also for training sessions sometimes with our customers. We are a heavy user of Cisco Webex Room Series meetings.

Pros

  • Ease of use
  • Noise removal of [ambient] noise
  • Audio and video quality
  • AI features: active speaker, speaker tracking, Webex assistant, etc...

Cons

  • Can't work in a Zoom meeting invitation (except if the Zoom host has a Zoom connector)
  • Expansive upfront cost
  • More usage of videoconferencing
  • [Fewer] travel expenses
  • Less IT troubleshooting and users help
Cisco is the only vendor manufacturing the software (Webex Meetings) and the hardware (webex devices). This is a MAJOR advantage that no other solution on the market can offer. No problem of updates, obsolescence of certain related devices/software/firmware, connections (wiring, Bluetooth, etc ...). All other solutions depend on several different manufacturers and systematically generate more problems for IT teams and [operational] problems for end-users.
Never had to contact support for those products! Can't relate... But overall support for Webex products is great.
Cisco Webex Room Series products are really user-friendly. The Touch 10 tablet (or more recently the Room Navigator) is really intuitive. All features needed to start, manage and close your meetings are at your fingertips. You can even share [wirelessly] with [the] proximity app.

Obviously, Cisco Webex Room Series devices are optimized for a Webex Meetings environment. webex devices combined with Webex Meetings are by far the best video conferencing solution on the market. They also work well for Teams meetings (with CVI or simply in Web RTC). On the other hand, in a Zoom environment, the situation becomes more complicated. You must absolutely have the Zoom Connector.
