Overall Satisfaction with Citrix DaaS
My organization uses Citrix DaaS as our remote desktop tool. It allows our team to push updates and control the environment our staff work on/in from any computer, personal or business. It can be deployed on-prem or in the cloud. We leverage a mixture of cloud + on-prem for best service results.
Pros
- Desktop Isolation.
- User flexibility, accessing data from any device.
- Easily scale up and down.
- Maintenance
Cons
- The ability to run webinars and virtual meetings from within DaaS.
- Recently, support has been lacking.
- Licensing is very high.
- Mobile device experience.
- When users break or lose their computers, DaaS keeps their desktops the same regardless of the device they connect with.
- DaaS cloud has had some outages recently that's had a negative affect.
- Troubleshooting can take dedication, as Citrix points at everything besides its product.
