Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We utilize CMiC across the organization. Everyone uses it in some capacity. We utilize it for timekeeping, project management, AP, payroll, etc.

Pros and Cons

The reporting tools are great
Customizable

Some functionality could be improved
It's not that intuitive.

Return on Investment

Lots of time spent learning, testing, meeting with consultants - negative
All parts of the business are now run in-house - positive
Workflow has improved

Alternatives Considered

All employees were asked for feedback when reviewing software. Ultimately, we chose CMiC because we felt it supported the admin side and the field side.

It's been a difficult road, and we still don't have all the answers. When doing things like payroll, we need help immediately, not "within 24 hours". We've also been advised to do certain functions one way, and then told that is incorrect and we should be doing it another way. Very frustrating.

It's hard to find a software that works for all departments. However, I think, over time, CMiC is working for us. It's been a long road, but I feel like we are finally reaping the benefits of switching to CMiC Construction Platform.
