Overall Satisfaction with CMiC Construction Platform

We use CMIC to integrate our accounting and construction management operations.
  • Tracks contracts and change orders.
  • Tracks owner changer orders.
  • Supports monthly billing using AIA type documents.
  • The platform is large so operation is pretty slow.
  • Field management (daily reports, material tracking) is a little bulky and hard to use.
  • Invoicing can be a little glitchy.
  • Improved cost tracking.
  • Improved information used in estimating.
  • Real time project profitability tracking.
CMIC has been a benefit to our back-office operations, however, it has not been much help in the field. While our IT guys find it very easy to use, the construction crews struggle with the platform.

The CMiC Construction platform works well for tracking costs and financials. It makes job buyout relatively easy. It does not work as well with field management. The daily report module is not particularly user-friendly for field personnel.

CMiC Construction Platform Support

Questions are always answered, however, not always in a timely manner. Responses sometimes take 24 to 48 hours, and while this may seem fast, when the issue is in regards to a payment due the next day, it can be an issue.
