Overall Satisfaction with CMiC Construction Platform

We use CMiC Construction Platform as our main project management tool. We run RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes through it as well as tracking our project financials and change orders. CMiC Construction Platform is missing a drawing management module that most other construction software has.

Pros

  • Financial forecasting.
  • Document tracking.
  • Financial organization.

Cons

  • Labor forecasting--this should automatically update the forecast as each pay period rolls.
  • No drawing coordination.
  • More flexibility with documents. Meeting minutes are tough to organize in a flexible manner.
  • Better document control.
  • Financial forecasting accuracy.
CMiC Construction Platform is much more cost-effective than Procore and there is a reason for that.

CMiC Construction Platform brings a good amount of horsepower for the program's cost. It definitely lacks some of the additional tools of more expensive products and is not the most user-friendly. However, once you learn the ins and outs, it can be a good asset.
