Overall Satisfaction with Commvault Cloud powered by Metallic AI

We are using it to backup M365 data, such as OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams. As we are already a Commvault customer, extending the services into the cloud was the natural choice.

Pros

  • No babysitting required. Just set and go
  • Easy to configure.
  • The rate of failure is almost zero.

Cons

  • The onboarding process was very poor executed.
  • We were offered a functionality as part of the package, but later, we were notified that it was no longer free.
  • Allowed us to use the M365 resources more efficiently and free up on prem space.
  • The onboarding process was painful.
  • Sales team was a bit deceiving.
As a tool, it does the job well, but because of the initial deployment pain and the deceiving offering of functionality as part of the package and then switching it to extra cost, I can't give it more than 8.
It was cheaper, and we took advantage of the existing relationship with Commvault.
