Overall Satisfaction with Commvault Cloud powered by Metallic AI

We are slowly dipping our toe in the great pond that is AI, since it is a new technology and forever evolving.
As we use it more and more, we have the AI monitor and alert trends, along with analysis. Events that required our attention and issues that we deem were quite important were exposed on time and when needed!
This is actually a very effective tool with the current scope we have it set at and will expand it more in the future!

Pros

  • Business Application Detection
  • Snapshots!
  • Encryption!

Cons

  • Mobile Accessibility. We see this with the Commvault ComCel. I predict it will come soon!
  • Found the adoption of the technology did take some time to configure with our environment
  • The learning curve was a bit steep
  • The onboarding process was challenging. We felt this could be improved
  • The enhanced data security impressed our internal security team
  • Downtime was reduced significantly overall comparing to past quarters
Everything about it is pretty effective and as promised.
It offers quite robust features such as streamlined data management, reduced down time, automated backups and excellent disaster recovery and data archiving options. The encryption is quite advanced as well!
We were already a customer with CommVault and we enjoyed the strong support and quick responses.
Overall the complete collection of features and options worked best with our environment and our current hardware it was quite a strong contender.
Comparing it to OneDrive specifically it really wasnt much of a choice.

Excellent M365 Implementation and saved us quite a bit of money regarding storage management. A lot of storage resources on site were no longer required.
Backups were automated to much greater extent allowing us to move resources to other areas which benefited our IT team as a whole.
