Overall Satisfaction with Conga CLM

We have multiple approvers for various contracts with a great deal of forms. Conga CLM helps us simplify our workflow and make things easier to draft and redline contracts.

Pros

  • Eases workflow steps
  • Allows for better sight lines into contract status
  • Helps the internal teams stay aligned on the process

Cons

  • The redlining system is difficult to use. It’s intended to be simple, but the details incl. the same document name makes it harder.
  • Back end configuration is difficult to use given the odd names that are given to the options
  • Needs to have easier ways to communicate the workflow
  • The time spent on drafting and redlining contracts has improved.
  • The reporting information is easier to get.
We have not used any of the scaled features yet. We just implemented the system.
It has made things easier to track

Where you have a lot of contracts requiring complex negotiations with a preset redline terms, then CLM works extremely well. Where there needs to be flexibility in the stages of the contacting terms and the teams are flexible, the system tends to restrain the usage and require a complete change in internal workflow, not always for the better.
