Overall Satisfaction with Conga CLM

We use Conga CLM for contract workflow management, contract generation & negotiation, contract analytics. The main business problems CLM addresses is standardization across our organization. We have over 70k employees at BD, and we use Conga CLM for all of our Business Units to create a harmonized process and data repository for contracting.

Change management has been a constant struggle with conga. Specifically, XAuthor for Word has been difficult to have users adhere to. Many contract consultants have figured out their own offline processes they have been doing for years, and it is difficult to show them the value of XAuthor when it results in more manual work for them sometimes.
Yes - it has simplified contract creation and overall standardization of our templates. It incentivised leadership to align on standard contract terms, templates, and clauses. Additionally, every business unit that is on Conga CLM now has a central repository for contract storage, where previously they did not and had to access multiple sites.

Conga CLM is well suited for large organizations who want to have a single repository and workflow for contract administration. It is suitable where there are standard workflows, or request processes, that are otherwise done manually. It is not suited for certain smaller use cases where the ROI would not be recognized against license costs.
