Overall Satisfaction with Conga CLM

We use the product for all healthcare contracting. That's the six buckets of contracting, of providers, business transactions, trade, JVs, third party vendors, research leases, and managed care. We use one contract lifecycle management system to manage all of our portfolios of contracts to not only manage our portfolio to make sure we don't lapse, but also to do our strategic betting as well as it's used to run the resource group, which is the supply chain and contracting arm for third party vendors. It's used to run our whole business case.

Pros

  • Tracking of compliance standards and audit standards.
  • The ability to have the workflow and utilize the workflow.

Cons

  • We're on Conga, we're on Novatus. It needs to be improved massively. They can't do anything to it. It's so old the way it was built. If you touch it, it's going to unravel. We need to move over to the CLM because whatever Conga Novatus, it can't support what we need. We're talking about through an RFX bit about what that future state will look like.
  • When we changed this in 2017, just from moving away from paper to using DocuSign and using Streamline, we were able not only to save probably I think it was $5 million a year in paper usage and shipping for contract signings. But on top of that we've actually built an infrastructure that shows and we're able to report on. It's saved a lot of time because we're able to report on to our ascension. Basically every year we save $250 million extra of savings plus the $250 revenue we put back into their business through our GPO.
We selected this pilot in 2017, which was a completely different environment. We're in the process of doing our fix base, so we haven't really reselected and we don't know if we're going to go with one CLM multitude because what I've found in my research is one CLM can't handle all the business use cases of all the different buckets of contracts.

Do you think Conga CLM delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Conga CLM's feature set?

Yes

Did Conga CLM live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Conga CLM go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Conga CLM again?

Yes

Well the product that we're currently on is not well suited for parallel processes. It's more well suited for one process that governs rules are, especially for a big corporation like us that has to outsource through a technology department to do all the changes in the upkeep. It's a lot with that old system. I can't really say on the new system what we're going to be like because we haven't really done it yet, but I would not ever suggest my move to what we're at now because it's so outdated.

Using Conga CLM

The current version is probably about a five. The new version, I have not used it a lot. I've only done some testing around in it, not a lot. I'd say it's probably a seven or eight.
