Overall Satisfaction with Conga Composer

So, far we have used this integration with a new SF platform we are building and it is pretty good. We have to generate documents for customers. Such as invoices, proposals, savings details, etc. Conga is going to be our generation service to have these documents sent over to customers.

Pros

  • Free edit.
  • Populates quickly.
  • Flexibility with templates.

Cons

  • Carrying over complex template fields.
  • Not have to bypass the screen to choose PDF or another file type.
  • Mimic document text formats better.
  • Time saved.
  • Increased efficiency.
  • Less need for an Adobe PDF editor.
We haven't had much time to use it yet since we are still in the development stages.
We will not have to do double the work like we are now having to export and use Adobe Editor.

I like the flexibility of it and how quickly it loads the documents. I also like that you can free edit on it, being in an office setting, our documents are ever-changing, and having the ability to edit text on a document right in our system and then export it is going to be a game changer and time-saving. We are still in the dev stages of our system so I have not fully got to experience Conga but I am sure it will be a great fit for us.

I feel our 3rd party did a bad job at implementing it.

Change management was minimal - It was a pain whenever we did change something because we would then have to change everything in our Conga Docs to work right

Not really. We had a 3rd party run through it quickly but we were lost.

Depends what you use it for. It was simple for what we needed, it just didn't work right with whatever Salesforce was trying to get it to do.

Its easy to use and navigate and it is great for company integrations. Invoicing, document gen, etc.

We used it for something simple and it was still a pain to use
It was available, it just didn't always work depending on what glitches were happening within our app.
It depended on our apps current state since we used it as an integration

Relationship with Conga

We didn't work with them directly at first, we used Salesforce and they made it all a harder process.
We only had to contact them to cancel the service once we fired Salesforce and they were slow with getting back to us about cancelling.
I do not remember.
