Overall Satisfaction with Conga Composer

Our organization wanted to generate quotes from Salesforce data without leaving the platform. We didn't want to implement a large and expensive solution like Salesforce CPQ, so we chose a solution that would allow us to plug and play Salesforce data into a template. Conga Composer was that solution, and we began to leverage several templates for customer and vendor outreach.

Pros

Cons

  • Customizing Individual Quotes.
  • Better UI for template design.
  • Higher Quote Creation.
  • AE Time Savings.
I would give Conga Composer a very high rating for document generation, but I do need to point out that we did not leverage the reporting side of the product much, as our reporting needs were fixated on Opportunities within Salesforce.
We have moved from manual creation using Microsoft Word templates to auto-populating quotes for every sales deal. This has saved us time and money.
CPQ is more customizable and native to Salesforce, but it's extremely difficult to set up and maintain. The Conga Composer configuration is much simpler and quicker to implement.

Do you think Conga Composer delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Conga Composer's feature set?

Yes

Did Conga Composer live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Conga Composer go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Conga Composer again?

Yes

If you populate quotes with limited, basic information, this is a great intermediate solution between manual quote creation and using a large product like CPQ. There is a learning curve to using Conga Composer, but it's far less difficult and easier to support than CPQ.
