Overall Satisfaction with Conga Composer

We use Conga Composer to standardize, organize and maximize our Invoicing and Contract Management processes. Composer allows us to generate invoices based on type and currency to format detailed or summary level information to provide standardization and transparency for our billing and accounting processes. Conga Batch allows us to setup automation to send out all of our invoices and related follow-up communications. For quoting and contracts, Composer allows us to maintain multiple templates depending on contract type, which has opened up more possibilities for self-service and has freed up more time for our legal team to focus on more complex challenges as our business evolves.

  • Flexible and robust merge field automation to increase transparency and enforce greater accuracy for our contracting process

Cons

  • Sometimes it is confusing to lookup query terms within Conga Learning site
  • Within Conga Learning the more real world examples and How-Tos, the better
  • Time saved in generating most all of our standard contracts
  • More flexibility of branding and functionality on our invoice templates
  • Increased accuracy from less manual redundant data entry
There is a learning curve to building and maintaining templates in Word, but lots of great resources and support to get there

Invoice creation, and contract generation. Batch send of reminders and communications.
Composer is great at pulling from field data of source objects, but limited to 1-level of relation to that source objects, and not as capable of making calculations or formulaic logic within the template - it is often better or easier to create those formulas in Salesforce and then retrieve them with your template.
