Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Conga Composer to generate documents for internal team members and for clients to sign externally. The business problems addressed are related to financial services account opening, relationship management, DQ checks, and KPI generation.

Return on Investment

Conga Composer has saved time for many of our Salesforce users which is better spent working with and supporting our clients. On one typical document, this has saved 1-2 hours per generation, and this document is generated 20-30 times per day.
Using Conga Composer with Salesforce allows us to control data in Salesforce with validation rules and other automations, which increases ata quality.

Ease of Use

A lot of great documentation out there, and if you ask you can get can more resources, but my one complaint is that there isn't a great process to receive a check-in from Conga itself on how things are going with your product. You always have to ask to learn more.

Automated Workflow

One outdated process we had involved users having to create data from a client into an Excel workbook, and then send this workbook on to a back of the house team to input into a specific system. The Excel workbook in question did not have as many safeguards for what could be entered. Doing this through Conga allows us to streamline things more easily.

Likelihood to Recommend

Conga Composer is well suited for situations involving document generation for small and large business purposes. Especially in situations that benefit from document automation.

Conga Composer is less appropriate for situations in which data cannot be readily pulled from Salesforce or another source, where users have lot of manual additions to merged template.
