Overall Satisfaction with ContentKing
Content King does two things for us, it continuously monitors client websites and provides us with crawl data as well as spotting changes. It also plugs into other APIs such as Google Search Console and Google Analytics to bring data back into our reporting.
- Monitoring webpages
- Finding Broken Links
- Discovering SEO issues
- Segmenting page types
- It is a single host only, which means that if your website spans mulitple subdomains it falls down
- It isn't as easy to control as desktop crawlers, the continuous nature means you can't just give it a set of URLs to monitor.
- Some of the issues it highlights aren't always issues, and so you need an expert user
- It has meant our time is spent better focusing on key issues
- Users across the business with little to no expertise can see an issue and get help fixing it
We switched from DeepCrawl as it just didn't provide the same features and support, more annoyingly they were a sales and marketing rather than a product led business which means they were more interested in you signing the contract, than maintaining your custom afterwards, an example of this is when you try and leave, they try and keep you with contractual small print. ContentKing have much better terms and conditions.
