Overall Satisfaction with Control-M
Currently, in our project, we are using Control-M to schedule and automate the regular jobs. We have installed the Control-M agent on our IBM AIX server where applications are hosted. The jobs perform operations of copying daily user data from one server to another server. It simplifies application and data workflow orchestration on-premises or as a service.
Pros
- Simplifies Application.
- Data workflow orchestration.
- Monitor batch jobs.
Cons
- It would be great if we get a better GUI of Tool.
- Its not supporting heavy database.
- More user friendly.
- It reduces the manual efforts.
- Control-M agent is not consuming high resources on server.
- It gets started automatically.
We prefer the Control-C over the IBM Workload Automation because it isn't supported on all available OS platforms in our project. Second, we are getting excellent customer support from the vendor in case of any critical issue comes in operations. Control-M is a light weight tool which consume less resources from the server.
