Overall Satisfaction with Control-M

We are using control-M to schedule jobs run in particular time with dependencies. It is used mainly in mainframe and few in informatica. it works well across environment like mainframe to distributed and between different mainframe regions. Overall experience is good. One suggestion is when we open control-M in mainframes, unable to open another screen. May be check whether this can be eliminated

Great features and easy to use for development as well as support teams. Easy to identify dependencies between jobs. Job scheduling is simple using this. control-M commands are easy to use for day-to-day production support and DEV team testing validations.

Condition code check is available in scheduling and triggering some jobs based on condition code is very helpful.

It is easy to use for both production support and development teams for scheduling & monitoring the mainframe batch jobs. Abend handling is simple for production support teams. Creation of job schedule takes less time.

operational commands are simple to use and more advanced scheduler for mainframe jobs. Navigation in control-M schedule is easy.

BMC Automated Mainframe Intelligence (AMI)
It's very good for the mainframe applications where you need to schedule batch jobs daily, monthly, weekly etc. at some particular time with dependencies. Easy to monitor and raise incident alerts.
Restart an abended is simple for production support team.


Triggering emails from control_M to be enabled which will be helpful for alerts.
