Overall Satisfaction with Control-M
We use Control-M in many ways as an Federal Agency. We basically automate all of our money transfer by DO FORCE jobs and FileWatcher. Too many ways buts we run approx. 30,000 jobs per day and over a million executions. We have saved so many manpower by automating most of our workload and manual processes.
Pros
- Job scheduling, many job types
- Alerting work very well
- BIM
- FileWatcher
- Control-M for Database
Cons
- Better support for high level issues, waiting on Tel Aviv for an answer is taking way too much time
- The transition of GUI Client to Web is really difficult for us. It's very piece meal, some and not all is troublesome for our customers
- I think BMC really need to get rid of agent base, no other WLA product uses agents anymore.
- Man power, cost saving
- Less risk
- BIM alerts us when we're missing deadlines
