- Complete service allows us to run with a smaller staff as they are initial response and can help with admin of CrowdStrike configurations.
- The multiple different tools in one platform allow us to expand versus having multiple different vendors or multiple different agents installed on devices.
We did not remove any tools, but as we built out our security stack - we just expanded the functionality of CrowdStrike and it was already deployed everywhere.
One solution, one environment, one source of reports and logs. Easier and quicker to find all the details.
We started with only EDR, added in firewall and device lockdown, then spotlight for vulnerabilities, and most recently Identity Protection. It is easier to expand with a platform that we trust versus finding new solutions.
- Using RTR (real-time response) to verify endpoint details and to deploy other tools
We moved on from Symantec and compared with Sophos - the impact (performance) to the endpoint is very minimal - our engineers always fight new security tools. During testing, they were running CrowdStrike for 2 weeks when they asked when we would install the new EDR tool to their devices.
