Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We primarily use D&B Connect to compare our internal metrics related to sales, earnings, KPIs, and customer data against benchmarks provided by D&B Connect. It helps us keep our older records up to date across multiple internal data systems and keep them inherently coherent. While we use other products and managers to track our data, D&B Connect is a good tool amidst a suite.

Find outliers in systems.

Manage consumer and customer workflows.

Cons

I find there is a high learning curve.
It's not easy to integrate with our internal systems off the bat.

Return on Investment

Streamlined data management.
Allowed us to centralize our data management across departments.

Usability

For more advanced uses, it's hard to get it functioning properly right out of the box. It definitely takes some fiddling to get the systems up and running, especially if you have multiple streams of data that need to be managed across systems.

We use it to connect and put in conversation multiple separate data siloes to allow us to conceptualize our data better. If your data is extremely sophisticated or proprietary, though, I would not be comfortable using this as a primary tool for data management or CRM management use cases alone.
