Overall Satisfaction with D&B Finance Analytics

I am responsible for initiating the process of setting up new customers for our company. The first thing I do is log into the D&B Finance Analytics and look up the customer by name. Whether I have all the information I need, or just a phone number, there are plenty of options for locating the company.
The information provided is updated, timely and accurate. We use that information to determine the credit terms for our new customer. It's always helpful to consult the D&B recommended credit limit as well.
Other data like how long the customer has been in business and whether they own or lease their space is also a critical component. We base the bulk of our decision on the information that we gather there.
  • The information is always updated and many times we recheck the same customer after a certain time to see if there has been any change.
  • We like the recommendations for credit limits.
  • It is also helpful to know the history of the company complete with names and titles.
  • I don't recall having any difficulty finding what I need or lacking necessary information.
That is not my area of expertise.
Use of the Finance Analytics is quite simple as it predicts your next question. Our collections department is alerted to the business trends and able to make information recommendations to establish terms and conditions.
The couple of times we have needed to call for support were successful and the staff were pleasant and knowledgeable.

Yes

We have had customers who come highly recommended for credit terms but the D&B tells a different story. We have actually denied terms based on that alone. We rely heavily on the accuracy of the information provided by the Finance Analytics application and have never encountered a problem with our decision based on that.
