Use Cases and Deployment Scope

5 Full time staff members are using Dashlane Password Manager. Most have never used a PW manager before and were struggling to find ways to keep track of the many passwords we all needed to create. We also needed to share some passwords and wanted to start doing this in more secure way.

Pros and Cons

Pros

recognizes the need to save a new password
getting started/onboarding tutorial for newbies
importing passwords in bulk

Cons

I had an issue with credit cards/bank accounts after doing an import and I couldn't delete them via the app - had to do it one by one on mobile which was a pain in the rear

Return on Investment

better security for those who have financial access to various tools
it will facilitate easier offboarding for tools with shared passwords

Usability

It is very similar to LastPass, which I've used extensively and liked - but Dashlane Password Manager is better. It's better and more intuitive than OnePassword - which I used at a prior job.

Dashlane Password Manager is the easiest password manager I have ever used - by far. I was able to decide that I wanted to purchase in minutes. I had an extremely easy time onboarding my colleagues. I want to sing its praises from the mountaintops! :)

I was introducing the use of a password managers to a team of people who had never used one before. It had to be easy and a pleasure to use or I was not going to be successful converting people to using it.
