Overall Satisfaction with Dashlane Password Manager

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As an IT Manager I have to mange hundreds of passwords. Using Keypass is great however, the time I spend copy and pasting passwords does eat up my time. As we now know saving passwords in Chrome is a risk so utilizing a built in password manager was something we were looking for. Dashlane Password Manager solved that issue for us and streamlines my day to day operations. We ultimately went with Dashlane Password Manager because LastPass had two data breaches at the time we were shopping around. I couldn't be happier with the choice we made. We also expanded outside of our IT dept and included our marketing department with Dashlane Password Manager to simplify their horrible password management.

Usability

I have used LastPass at a previous company and the integration and GUI was something to be desired. Although that was several years ago at this point I was entirely pleased when I was introduced to Dashlane Password Manager. Everything is updated visually and feels like it was designed post 2020 as opposed to my other experiences. Dashlane Password Manager is smooth and responsive everything I need it to be.

LastPass for Business

I chose Dashlane Password Manager over LastPass due to cost and their prior history of data breaches. I felt more comfortable with Dashlane Password Manager hoping I wouldn't have to deal with downtime or stolen credentials. Dashlane Password Manager to me felt more compact and streamlined while Last pass was cluttered with larger entries having to scroll more to find what I was looking for. Like I said this was years ago when I used LastPass.

As stated in my prior opening statement this software is best suited for users with large amounts of passwords. Seeing that I have hundreds to manage over the course of a year Dashlane Password Manager has really helped me in managing these passwords. Since adding our marketing team to Dashlane Password Manager they have simplified their password management as well and continue to request to stay subscribed to Dashlane Password Manager. As for myself I manage several switches, servers, subscription services, internal web addresses, security systems, purchasing sites, and much more all of which I have saved with Dashlane Password Manager. The only issue where Dashlane Password Manager fell short for me with passwords was the Dell iDRAC site which 1 ticket request later they were able to fix the nonexistent auto fill.
