Overall Satisfaction with Dayforce Powerpay

We have been using Dayforce Powerpay for several years now and our company changed owners and Dayforce employees helped us set up the new company and new ownership. They took care of adding all employees to the new account and take care of our old account. It was a very detailed process and I am grateful they were able to help us out so much. They followed up via phone calls and emails and due to our businesses odd hours, it was difficult to follow up with calls, but the emails were all very detailed and we appreciated it very much. They walked us through all the processes and every time we needed help, there was someone to talk to or they would follow up if they couldn't answer our questions right away.

  • Positive use of my time, Dayforce Powerpay makes everything simple so it takes me mere minutes to process a payroll.
  • Ease of using ROE, just click and fill in minimal information.
  • Quick payroll processing, from the time I submit the payroll to the time I get the numbers back is very fast and I am able to send it all off within hours.
  • Direct deposits are reliable and into employee's accounts early on pay dates.
  • Tax remittances are done for me and I do not have to spend time calculating information or take time to send extra payments. This is done for me and saves so much time and hassles.
The simplicity of the program is why I rate a 10. The easy to use interface, easy to do a simple run, or to enter via timesheet is fantastic. I love to just enter the hours in, any overtime or holiday pays and hit preview, within a couple minutes I have a picture of what my pay run looks like, how much I owe everyone and then submit. The easy access to T4's, employee information, the employee portal is fantastic. I love having all that information at my fingertips and not have to search hours to find anything. And if I do have to search for something and can not find it, I ring up and someone walks me through step by step for the exact information I need to find. The employees at Dayforce have helped me so many times as I was learning their software and even now when I forget where to find something, I ring up or look in the help section to find what I need.
Even though Quickbooks was cheaper, I would have to do more work, much more information added into the system and while I would pay less per pay run, there was a lot more work for me to do. I prefer to pay a little extra and spend my time making money instead of the headache of trying to submit everything. It may work well for those who use that program with everything else on a daily basis, but I don't and also did not want to learn a new system when I have something that works really well!

We are a small business - and even though we are small and don't make near use of all of the options in the program, I love it because all my remitting is done for me, all the calculating, all the vacation pay, holiday pay, overtime, everything is kept track of really well and I don't have to worry about missing information if I was to do this myself. I also love the direct deposit options and my employees love it and the paystubs and the ability to put messages on their paystubs! I honestly can't think of a scenario where Dayforce Powerpay wouldn't be suitable!! I wouldn't change companies, even if it saved me money as I love all the functions, the information and the ease of ROE and T4's.
