In our organization, We are able to share data across may platforms using Db2.
Pros
- It allows the cloud to access our data
- the mainframe
- and off mainframe
Cons
- I would like to see more things run on the ziip
- by having shared subsystem we are able to upgrade one at a time without ever bring all of Db2 down at once
the admin tool it helps us create and modify tables. CQM helps us monitor usuage
online reorg (I started on v2)
Db2 is so much easier for dba's and programmers to learn.
