- I don't spend much time thinking that it doesn't to, rather, supporting what It does do.
- Db2 is an industrial strength database that supports the business and using SQL is easy to attract talent (programmers) to use it.

Strange question - what does a relational database allow you to do what you couldn't do before? Well - it's a house step up from hierarchical databases and flat files.
Db2 is industrial strength, supportable 24x7 and solid.
