Costpoint for Government Contractors

Overall Satisfaction with Deltek Costpoint

We, in the Finance department use Deltek for timekeeping, processing A/P, processing A/R, Contracts and Budgeting. Our staff uses Deltek for leave request, timesheets and holiday/floating holiday recording.

For what we mainly use Deltek for it is a great system. The cost for licenses can become an issue because as a growing company we are in need of licenses from time to time and the process is very cumbersome.

We currently utilize Deltek in the best scenario, we use it as our main accounting system, for all company accounting functions. But it isn't the best for Contracts & Capture.

The cost for our size company may be to high by the time we review, because when purchasing additional licenses on two separate occasions, only 3 months apart, there was a price increase.

Evaluating Deltek Costpoint and Competitors

Yes - The company used to use Tenrox for the accounting functions. It didn't offer any additional services.

The biggest factor in deciding to purchase Deltek Costpoint was its ability to integrate with ADP Workforce and that is was cloud base so our staff could use the Mobile app for Timesheets entries and PMs can approve from the app also.
I liked the way the process is set up, maybe let the evaluator know the order in which you'd like to questions answered.

Deltek Costpoint Implementation

It would be great if there were better training documents that could be downloaded without having to go through the DLZ.

Deltek Costpoint Support

Sometimes the delay from when you send in a requested for assistance is more than I believe it should be and I always ask for the rep to contact me via Teams meeting invite, but they still try to call me.

No, because at the time we were working with a consulting firm and they provide support for the first 2 years.
We were switching from a bi-weekly to a semi-monthly payroll and I needed to set up the calendar and leave accruals. The rep was very patient allowed me to record the process and sent me the instructions after we had completed the task.

Yes - The mobile interface work well enough for entering timesheets and approving timesheets. The other functions work best on a laptop or PC.
