Overall Satisfaction with Diligent One Platform

Initial setup is quite involved as there is a steep learning curve. Documentation and support are lacking. The default dashboard/reports are not sufficient and require customization and additional costs. Once setup, the data analysis automation saves a lot of time and manual effort for audit and support teams.
We use Diligent One for our audit and governance process across various teams. As part of our Data Use and Governance framework, we track requests for access to data and permissions and use this tool to track and analyze access to sensitive data. The reports feature is used to product insights for management.

  • Its useful for auditors across regions to to share their work and have a structure to review controls globally
  • Analytics has helped us automate compliance reporting and saved previous developer/support time
  • Number of calls to technical support to extract adhoc data for compliance has reduced by over 30%
It has helped us establish a continuous audit feed and thus meet regulatory requirements to have controls in place for access to sensitive PII data. As a global organization with audit teams spread out, it has helped them collaborate across time zones and help avoid manual notes and emails across time zones. Dashboards are used by management to monitor controls and work with model governance on requests for new products. This has considerably improved our go to market times for new product/model launch
Digital one was focused on risk and governance while other tools we reviewed were more generic for data analysis across different use cases. As a heavily regulated industry, we needed a dedicated risk monitoring framework and Digital One helped accomplish that

Diligent One is well suited for larger enterprises where one can centralize the governance and risk control monitoring. It is useful for non technical users to use the dashboards and reports for their monthly risk assessment needs. However, it gets complex to use when you have multiple data sources spread across on premises and cloud.
