Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use DISCO Ediscovery in discovery for large class action cases and MDL's (multidistrict litigation). Only my team uses it. We use it to review and share documents in e-discovery.

My work with DISCO Ediscovery has been in multi-firm MDL cases, so I cannot speak to the ease of uploading documents. Reviewing documents is much easier and more intuitive on DISCO Ediscovery than on other platforms I have worked with. Somehow, DISCO Ediscovery seems to provide more data and direction while still having a stream-lined interface.

Professional Services Quality

Anytime I have needed assistance with DISCO Ediscovery, the help staff have been quick to reply and very helpful. They answer questions fully and you definitely get the benefit of speaking with a real person with DISCO Ediscovery experience rather than a call center or computer.

Managed Review

DISCO Ediscovery was selected for a nationwide MDL. Although I did not have any part in the choice, I can see easily why it was chosen, especially when the case had almost a hundred attorneys and support staff reviewing documents.

Alternatives Considered

Relativity and Apollo ILS (Integrated Library System)

DISCO Ediscovery is easier to learn, more intuitive to use, and seems to give more consistent results. The interface is quite easy to use and gives a lot of information that aids in document review. The threading and family functions are extremely helpful

DISCO Ediscovery is an intuitive platform that makes document review and tagging easy and uniform. One problem we have always had with document review is that people use the categories inconsistently. This seems to happen less with DISCO Ediscovery, mostly likely due to features such as being able to look at related documents quickly and easily. Although each screen provides a large amount of data, it is easy to read and take in. I have recommended DISCO Ediscovery to my firm and fellow paralegals frequently.
