Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

We use it for package design.

Pros

  • Easy to use
  • Not expensive
  • Support is fine

Cons

  • Easier object selection sorted by layer or line width
  • More video like how-to features in help for all features
  • Customized right click function; assign/add function in right click pop-up
  • Less time spent on drafting; less over time
  • Faster communication thanks to wide range or file format conversion
We use DraftSight to design packaging, and it is perfectly well suited. DraftSight is one of the best tools for home DIY drafting as well. It is not built for 3Ds so obviously 3D is not its strong suit.
